Touchē - Senses Project (Branding and Packaging )

Senses project is to take one of the five senses of humans and package that. The sense that i picked out was the sense of touch. For touch i wanted to design a skin product directed at men specifically. Most skin products for men are really not designed well and are really just inadequate compared to skin products for women. Men need skin care and we can appreciate well designed skin products too.

- The goal for the packaging was to showcase the sense of touch
through my package design.
- Communicate the sense of touch through the actual packaging
- Create a packaging that is aesthetically pleasing that men can
actually purchase

THE PACKAGING
 
The product i chose to develope packaging is the facial moisturizer. For the packaging i wanted to represent the idea of skin and touch. This thought is what greatly informed the packaging design from style to choice in paper. 

I chose a pull up layered box packaging that replicated layers of skin, using a rough textured paper for the top layer to simulate the texture of skin and a smoother paper for the bottom. Also as a symbol to show what skin would feel like after using the product hence why the logo is on the inside box.
